Per Missouri Condition Statute 578.023 RSMo: “No person may keep any lion, tiger, leopard, ocelot, jaguar, cheetah, margay, mountain lion, Canada lynx, bobcat, jaguarondi, hyena, wolf, bear, nonhuman primate, coyote, any deadly, harmful, or poisonous reptile, or any deadly or harmful reptile over eight ft lengthy, anywhere apart from a correctly maintained zoological park, circus, scientific, or educational institution, research laboratory, veterinary hospital, or animal refuge, unless of course such person has registered such creatures using the law enforcement. We’d ask that any Cole County resident who’s a keeper of the exotic animal as described within the statute above, please contact the Sheriff’s Office so that your animal is put into the registry. The Registry Form is provide here that you should print and mail in agency within the county where the animal is stored.”
